Frequently Asked Questions.

Providing clarity and guidance so you can feel confident about starting therapy and know what support is available to you.

Still have questions?

What issues can therapy help with?

Therapy can support a wide range of challenges, including depression, anxiety, stress, burnout, grief, low self-esteem, trauma, family difficulties, and relationship issues.

How do I know if therapy is right for me?

Starting therapy can feel daunting. A free 15-minute consultation can help you ask questions, get a sense of the approach, and decide if it feels like the right fit.

Is what I share in therapy really confidential?

Absolutely. Everything discussed in therapy is confidential, except in rare circumstances where there is a serious risk of harm to yourself or others, as required by law.

How often should I attend sessions?

Sessions are typically 50–60 minutes, once a week. Frequency can be adjusted depending on your needs, goals, and availability.

What should I do if I feel nervous or unsure about starting therapy?

Feeling nervous is completely normal. You can start with a free consultation, ask any questions you need, and take therapy at a pace that feels comfortable. You’ll be supported every step of the way.

Are you Qualified?

Yes. I hold a BA, a Postgraduate Diploma (PG Dip), and a Master’s degree (MA) in counselling and psychotherapy. I am also a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (MBACP), which means I follow their professional standards and ethical framework. Alongside this, I have a background in mental health nursing and years of experience supporting adults with a wide range of challenges.

Your story matters. Your healing matters.

Life can feel overwhelming when past experiences or current challenges weigh heavily on you. Therapy offers a space to pause, breathe, and begin making sense of what you’re carrying.
